A Management Board consisting of six members, including the CEO and CFO, is responsible for the execution of Nutreco’s strategy and the management of its businesses.

Fulco van Lede

Chief Executive Officer 

Chairman of the Management Board

Fulco van Lede joined Nutreco in August 2021 as Chief Executive Officer, after almost two decades in leadership positions at Nutreco’s parent company, SHV Holdings N.V. He served on the company’s Executive Board of Directors since 2018 and played an important role in supporting and defining a sustainable future for SHV. Prior to that, Fulco was CEO of SHV Energy and has served in leadership positions at SHV companies Makro Cash and Carry and Primagas.

Educated as a lawyer, Fulco’s desire to work internationally saw him completing an MBA with distinction from INSEAD. Subsequently. Fulco lived and worked in China, Czech Republic, France, Germany and the Philippines. Throughout his career, Fulco has focused on crafting clear strategies and driving company performance, while ensuring good governance and compliance.

Pieter van Holten

Chief Financial Officer

Member of the Management Board.

Pieter van Holten joined Nutreco as Chief Financial Officer in November 2021. Prior to that, he served for five years as Group CFO at SHV Energy N.V., a leading global distributor of off-grid energy and subsidiary of Nutreco’s parent company SHV Holdings.

Before joining SHV, Pieter served as CFO Germany & Eastern Europe at Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co KG and in various CFO roles at DHL, after spending the early part of his career progressing into financial management positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Siemens.

Over the course of his career, Pieter has lived for more than a decade outside of his home country of the Netherlands. Since 2016 he is based in The Netherlands again and manages companies with a global footprint.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting and his master’s degree in business administration.

David Blakemore

CEO Trouw Nutrition

Member of the Management Board – COO Livestock feed

David was previously President Animal Nutrition & Health of DSM and a member of the DSM Nutritional Products Executive Leadership Team, as well as a member of the DSM Leadership Team. Before DSM, David worked at The Dow Chemical Company, predominantly in the Agro Sciences.

He has held senior leadership positions in multiple geographies, living and working in the USA, New Zealand, Latin America and Switzerland.

Therese Log Bergjord

CEO Skretting

Member of the Management Board – COO Aquaculture

Therese became CEO of Skretting in 2017. Prior to this she worked eight years for food service company Compass Group PLC where she headed up their Nordic Business. Therese worked in AquaCulture before in the salmon industry where she held various leading positions across the value chain in salmon feed as global sales director for Skretting, in fish farming and fish processing in Pan Fish (now MOWI).

Therese started her career in the Oil and Gas industry where she spent 16 years in ConocoPhillips in a number of leadership roles. She studied finance and business administration, and marketing and entrepreneurship at the University of Stavanger in Norway. Therese has held several executive board positions over the years.

Martijn Roelants

Chief HR Officer

Member of the Management Board

Martijn was appointed as Nutreco’s Chief HR Officer in April 2019. He joined the company following three years in the role of Chief People Officer at Mammoet, the Dutch engineering equipment firm which, like Nutreco, is part of SHV Holdings N.V.

Prior to this role, Martijn was part of the SHV Holdings management team, which he joined in 2008. He has also a number of other senior regional and global HR leadership roles, as well as consulting and financial positions at companies such as Deloitte and IMK.

Claudio Cervellati

Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO)

Claudio Cervellati was appointed as Chief Supply Chain Officer in September 2023. He is responsible for the global sustainability, procurement, quality and operations teams, bringing the full Nutreco supply chain together.

Claudio has more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles in the agrochemical, chemical, paper and construction materials industries, successfully leading operations improvement, business transformations, turnarounds and mergers.

Prior to joining Nutreco, he was Managing Director with global management consulting firm Alvarez and Marsal and held senior leadership positions at LafargeHolcim, PaperlinX – Lecta, Italcementi and Bunge. Claudio also spent a decade in management consulting at McKinsey and Kearney. He began his professional career at Exxon Chemical.

With a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Milano Polytechnic University, Claudio has worked across Europe, Asia, MEA and the Americas and is fluent in Italian, English and French.
